The best smelling 80 acres...

Eric Sannerud and Ben Boo were college buddies with a shared passion for horticulture and the land. A few years after graduation they were able to go in business together on 80 acres west of Minneapolis as Mighty Axe Hops. They are the largest hop farm in Minnesota (most U.S. hops are grown in the Pacific Northwest). Minneapolis-St. Paul metro is booming with craft breweries, many of which contracted to buy this first harvest months prior. And let me tell you, I wish this gallery had a scratch-and-sniff feature. Hop harvest smells AMAZING!
